The Message Bible

Why do we sell The Message Bible? Well, let’s just say it was life-changing.

In the past, I struggled to read the Bible because I could not understand the language. I came across The Message and decided to give it a try, even though many “believers” told me it was not the original and, therefore, not the “right” way to read God’s Word.

Well, guess what? God is not limited by the version of the Bible you read. All you need is a heart that is open, humble, and willing to ask Him to teach you.

As I read this version, I asked God to be my teacher. I did not rely on other people’s interpretations of what the stories and parables meant. Instead, I went inward and relied on God to teach me, reveal to me what it meant personally, and help me understand His Word. That is how I learned and truly began building a relationship with God.

He led me to an understanding of what His Word meant for me, and it transformed my life from the inside out.

Many people ask where to start. Start by praying: “God, show me. Teach me. Reveal Yourself to me, and transform me.”

Then, I recommend starting with one of the Gospels. I began with the Book of Matthew. Get to know who Jesus is—from His birth, through His ministry and journey, to His death and resurrection. Learn why it matters so much, and why it specifically matters for you.

From there, read the rest of the New Testament. Then go back and read the Old Testament in light of the New Testament and all you have learned.

Enjoy the journey. It is the best one you will ever take. There is nothing in this world that compares to God’s love, and once you experience it, you will never be the same.
